Gottfried von Herder

David Alexander Gottfried Freiherr von Herder (born October 11, 1858 in Rauenstein Castle ; † January 22, 1912 ibid) was a German manor owner , lieutenant in the reserve and a conservative politician ( German Conservative Party ).

Live and act

The son of the manor owner and member of the Saxon state parliament Wilhelm Freiherr von Herder (1824–1907) attended high schools in Berlin and Weimar . He then studied at the Universities of Lausanne , Bonn and Halle (Saale) the subjects Law , economics and agriculture. During his studies in Bonn he was a member of the Corps Hansea Bonn .

Herder was a lieutenant in the reserve in the Magdeburg Hussar Regiment No. 10 . He was a member of the district assembly of the Erzgebirge district and was a member of the district committee in Zwickau. He was an honorary knight of the Order of St. John .

In the general election in 1893 , he was in the 20th Saxon constituency ( Zschopau - Marienberg in) Reichstag voted, of which he was for a term of up to 1898th
