Gottlieb Heinrich Legler

Gottlieb Heinrich Legler (also Gottlieb Heinrich Legier , Heinrich Legier ; * February 6, 1823 in Antwerp or Amsterdam ; † March 4, 1897 in Glarus , ref., Von Diesbach , today Gem. Luchsingen ) was a Swiss fortress builder , hydraulic engineer and specialist book author.

GH Legler belonged u. a. as Linthin engineer with Andreas Lanz (1740–1803), Jean Samuel Guisan (1740–1801), Hans Conrad Escher , Salomon Hegner , Heinrich Pestalozzi (engineer) (1790–1857), Alois Negrelli , Richard La Nicca and Adolf von Salis to the Federal experts.

Life

His parents were Thomas Legler and Katharina née Kundert. In 1851 he married Ursina Menga nee Laurer († 1897).

GH Legler published a. a. with numerous other specialists from other technical fields and under different names. Some publications have been translated into other languages.
