Gottlieb Unger

Gottlieb Unger (born March 20, 1899 in Wandorf , Hungary , † July 14, 1949 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and elementary school teacher. Unger was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from 1946 to 1949 .

Life

Unger was the son of the small farmer Gottlieb Unger from Wandorf and attended elementary school and the teacher training institute in Sopron . After graduating from high school in 1918, he taught in Harkau and from 1922 in lime mines . Unger was an elementary school teacher in Loipersbach from 1945 and was head of school between 1946 and 1949.

Unger was mayor of Kalkgruben from 1937 to 1938 and was active in the SPÖ from 1945. He represented the SPÖ between January 4, 1946 and his death in the Burgenland state parliament. Unger was also a co-founder of the Austrian Socialist Teachers' Association.

Unger was married.

Unger died in his office and was buried in Loipersbach in Burgenland .
