Gottwald Schuster (born December 28, 1701 in Jena , † December 25, 1785 in Chemnitz ) was a German physician .

Life

Born in Jena, Gottwald Schuster, son of the doctor Gottwald Schuster and his wife Maria Magdalena, studied in Altenburg , Thuringia , before turning to studying medicine at the University of Leipzig in 1720 , which he achieved in 1726 with the academic degree of Dr. med. completed. In the same year he took over the position of Princely Schönburg City and Country Physician in Penig , two years later he moved to Chemnitz as City and Country Physician, a position he held until his death in 1785.

Gottwald Schuster, both as Practical profiled as a court physician, was born on October 6, 1737 with the nickname . Sabinus II as a member ( Matriculation no. 475 ) in the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina added. He emerged in particular through treatises in the areas of obstetrics and forensic medicine .
