Al-Farwaniyya Governorate ( Arabic محافظة الفروانية, DMG Muḥāfaẓat al-Farwānīya ) is the most populous of the six governorates of Kuwait in terms of the total number of inhabitants. It is the main residential area of Kuwait and also forms an important part of Kuwait’s business activities. Faisal HM Al-Sabah has been the governor since May 2014 . Al-Farwaniyya consists of the following districts:
