The von der Grün family is a Frankish noble family . The gender is not to be confused with the noble family Grünne .
history
origin
The family's headquarters are in Rodesgrün in the former Naila district . It was first mentioned in a document in 1246. A field name in the green near Wildenstein, a district of Presseck , indicates an early occupation.
Like the families von Berg , von Epprechtstein , von Münchberg , von Radeck , von Reitzenstein , von Sparnberg , von Stein , von Thoßfell , von Töpen and von Wildenstein , the von der Grün are considered to be a line of the ministerial family mentioned in 1091, named after their seat Sack . All of these families are therefore related to the tribe and coat of arms.
distribution
The family had other former properties in Thalheim , Rothenbruck , Finstermühle and Marlesreuth . For a short time they were in possession of the Hofeck residence . The family also owned a castle in Kulmbach . Because of her possessions she was organized in the knight canton of Gebürg .
