Grażyna Kulczyk (born November 5, 1950 in Poznan ) is a Polish entrepreneur and art patron .

Life

Grażyna Kulczyk studied public law at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan . During her studies, she met her future husband, the former President of the German-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jan Kulczyk , from whom she divorced in 2005.

As an entrepreneur, Kulczyk was able to build up her own fortune, primarily through investments in international corporations with branches in Poland. She invested this primarily in numerous construction projects within her hometown of Poznan. For several years she has also been active as a patron of the arts . It owns one of the largest private art collections in Poland and finances numerous cultural and infrastructure projects. In doing so, she always pursues the guiding principle of linking art with entrepreneurial or other aspects.

Their largest project is the construction and operation of the Stary Browar commercial center , which is designed as a shopping, entertainment and exhibition complex. A new museum for contemporary art is to be linked to the commercial center . In 2004 she founded the Art Foundation Kulczyk Foundation , which now Art Stations Foundation is.

She has a residence in the Swiss mountain village Tschlin in the Lower Engadine ; In the mountain village of Susch , also in the Lower Engadine, she is building the Muzeum Susch for contemporary art and an artist house.
