history

Hawn has been documented since 1143, but it was not clearly assigned as Grafenhaun until later. The old noble seat formed a Hofmark , which was acquired in 1544 by the Kärgl von Furth und Süssbach . Grafenhaun remained part of the extensive Kärgl property until 1615. When the inheritance of Karl Kärgl was divided, Furth and Grafenhaun fell to the wife of Christian Heinrich von Reitzenstein, who appears as the owner in the country table in 1625 .

Both court stamps were bought by Franz Lodron zu Haag in 1641. The Counts of Lodron remained the owners of Grafenhaun until 1782 . Then Ferdinand Anton Waiderspointner (Baron von Wadenspann) became Hofmarksherr von Furth, Neuhausen and Grafenhaun. In 1752 Grafenhaun consisted of eleven properties.

After the community education Grafenhaun belonged to the municipality Petersglaim . With this it was incorporated into the unified municipality of Hohenthann in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria on July 1, 1972.
