The race
With the victory of Raymond Sommer on a circuit in the park of Valentino in Turin, Scuderia Ferrari closed a successful sports car season with another victory. The success in Turin, where a monopostor race was held in 1946 , which ended with a victory for Achille Varzi in an Alfa Romeo 158 , was already the seventh win of the season. The races in Rome , Vercelli , Vigevano and Varese were won by Franco Cortese . In the Coppa Luigi Arcangeli and the sports car race in Parma was Tazio Nuvolari remained victorious.
