Grant Steven Wilson (born July 2, 1974 in Rhode Island ) is a co-founder of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), based in Warwick . He was also a co-producer of the Syfy series Ghost Hunters .

Wilson and his wife Reanna have three sons. Wilson and his colleague Jason Hawes (founder of TAPS) were long-term employees as plumbers at Roto Rooter until August 2015 . The two were also co-owners of the Spalding Inn, which is in Whitefield , New Hampshire . Wilson and Hawes frequently teach lectures at schools and conventions as members of TAPS.

Wilson is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a two-year assignment in Italy .

Hawes and Wilson also participate in ghost hunting events specially held for paying audiences. More recently, TAPS has hosted an event hosted exclusively by TAPS members. TAPS co-hosts events at locations like the Stanley Hotel in Colorado , the RMS Queen Mary ocean liner in California, and the Buffalo Central Terminal in Buffalo , New York .

In a season 13 episode of South Park , Grant and Jason were parodied and portrayed as slightly scared and pissed off. Grant commented on this on Twitter with the words Thanks South Park !!! Freaking Hilarious !!
