The Grauhäutige vaginal Streifling or short Grauhäutige Streifling ( Amanita submembranacea ) is a species of fungus from the family of Wulstlingsverwandten (Amanitaceae).
features
Macroscopic features
The gray-skinned streifling has a gray-brown hunched hat with a diameter of 5 to 12 cm. The brim of the hat is noticeably grooved. Gray-white remains of velum usually stick to the hat . The stem is a little paler than the hat, but never pure white and has a flocked surface. The stem base merges into a white-gray, protruding sheath. The spore powder is inamyloid .
Microscopic features
The spores are rounded. In the never pure white remains of the velum there are, in addition to the filamentous hyphae, also a number of spherical elements, which distinguishes the species from the gray vaginal striated ( A. vaginata ). As a result, the velum is more brittle and often remains on the hat skin.
Species delimitation
The species can be confused with all gray colored vaginal strips.
ecology
The gray-skinned scabbard appears from August to October in the mountain coniferous forest on acidic soil.
distribution
The Mushroom Mapping 2000 Online database contains 70 sites. The northernmost find is in the Harz Mountains, the southernmost on the Fellhorn (Bavaria). The state with the most reports is Bavaria.
meaning
Like all vaginal strips, the mushroom is edible, but not particularly tasty.
