Grayson Moyer (born June 16, 1986 in San Diego , California ) is a retired American basketball player . After studying in his home country, Moyer turned professional and played two seasons in Europe, including a little more than one season with the Deutsche Bank Skyliners from Frankfurt am Main in the German basketball league . He most recently played in his hometown in 2012 with the Sol in the American Basketball Association .

Career

In 2004 Moyer began studying business administration at Humboldt State University in Arcata, Northern California . There he played for the university team Lumberjacks in the NCAA Division II in the "California Collegiate Athletic Association", whose championship one could win in 2007 and 2008. In his final college season, he was named "Athlete of the Year" by the Conference after averaging 14.6 points and 4.0 assists . Then Moyer was in the ABA for Alaska Dream, which only completed preparation games and stopped playing before the start of the season, as well as in the IBL for Los Angeles Lightning, before moving to Frankfurt in 2009. At the beginning of the following season, Moyer was brought back to the Frankfurt squad by the new coach Gordon Herbert , as an injury-related replacement for Quantez Robertson . The fixed-term contract was not renewed after a month and coach Herbert, who had previously worked in Finland for a long time , put Moyer in the Korisliiga at Kouvot in Kouvola , where he played until the end of the year. Then Moyer returned to his home country and was once again active for the Sol in the ABA in his hometown.
