The Chazy River is a tributary of Lake Champlain in Clinton County of the US state of New York .
The Great Chazy River has its origin in Chazy Lake in the northeastern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains . From there it flows in a north-northeast direction. It flows through Miner Lake in the state park of the same name . Then the Great Chazy River passes the place Altona . At Mooers Fork , the North Branch Great Chazy River flows into the river on the left. Now the Great Chazy River turns east and flows past Mooers and Champlain less than a kilometer from the border between Canada and the United States , before reaching and flowing into King Bay on the west bank of Lake Champlain. The Great Chazy River is approximately 70 km in length.
