Mooers is a hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Mooers in Clinton County of the US state of New York . At the time of the United States Census , Mooers had 442 residents, out of a total of 3,592 residents of the town. Mooers was an incorporated village from 1899 , which was dissolved in 1994.

The hamlet of Mooers is located in the eastern part of the Town of Mooers and has the geographical coordinates are 44 ° 58 '  N , 73 ° 35'  W (44.96053, -73.58337). Mooers is three miles south of the border between the United States and Canada . The settlement is at the intersection of US Route 11 and New York State Route 22 on the north bank of the Great Chazy River . US-11 leads east to the slip road ten kilometers away to Interstate 87 in the Village of Champlain and west to Chateaugay , 43 kilometers away , while NY-22 leads south to Plattsburgh , the county seat, 32 kilometers away .

The population in Mooers consisted of 98.18% of White , 0.23% Black or African American , 0% Native American , 0.23% Asian , 0.23% Pacific Islander , 0.45% said other races to belong and 0.68% named two or more races. 1.14% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
