Gregory "Greg" Howe (born December 8, 1963 in New York City ) is an American guitarist . He works as a studio guitarist for various artists and works as a composer .

Live and act

Howe was discovered by Mike Varney from Shrapnel Records . In 1988 Howe released his first album for Varney's label. The album was named the tenth best shred guitar album ever released by Guitar World magazine in 2009 .

Howe has worked with a wide variety of musicians. He worked as a stage guitarist for Michael Jackson on his HIStory tour. For Enrique Iglesias he worked as a guitarist on his stage tours through Europe. Howe also worked as a guitarist for NSYNC . For several years he has been working as a stage guitarist for Justin Timberlake and as a studio musician for Laura Pausini .

Since 2008 he has played in Eddie Jobson's music group UKZ . In 2017 he was a member of the drummer Simon Phillips ' project ' Protocol ' , recorded the CD ' Protocol IV ' and went on tour with the project.

Greg Howe lives in Long Beach, California.

Collaboration with Laguna Guitars

Howe designed their own guitar model together with the US instrument manufacturer Laguna-Guitars. The guitar is made of swamp ash and has an orange lacquered top made of flamed maple. The neck is made of maple. The pickups are made by DiMarzio . The guitars are equipped with Floyd Rose tremolo systems.
