Grega Benedik (born May 21, 1962 in Žirovnica ) is a former ski racer from Slovenia . Benedik was one of the best slalom drivers in the world in the 1980s .

For the Yugoslav Ski Association he took part in the Ski World Cup from 1981 to 1990 . His most successful year was the 1986/87 season when he finished fifth overall in the individual slalom World Cup. Overall, he was among the top ten in 18 World Cup races. The only victory of his career was in Sarajevo in March 1987 .

At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , Benedik was ninth in slalom. He also took part in the Alpine World Ski Championships twice. In 1987 in Crans-Montana he was 14th in slalom, two years later at the World Championships in Vail he reached eighth place.
