biography

Grilc's career began in 1988, when he was still starting for Yugoslavia , with great promise by winning the Junior World Championship in giant slalom . The following year he was in Aleyska (USA) junior vice world champion in slalom .

From 1992 to 1997 Grilc then took part in the World Cup, but was never able to really build on his achievements as a junior. After five seasons, there were only two places in the top ten: at the turn of the year 1993/94 he drove twice in a row in the slaloms of Madonna di Campiglio and Kranjska Gora in 6th and 8th place respectively.

Even in the major international competitions, Grilc remained in the midfield. In his two Olympic appearances in 1992 in Albertville and 1994 in Lillehammer , he finished only places 16-24 in his two World Cup participations in 1991 and 1993 places between rank 12 and 21. After the 1996-97 season he ended his sports career.
