Gregory Alan Isakov (* 1979 in Johannesburg , South Africa ) is a singer-songwriter .
Life
In 1986, Isakov's family immigrated to the United States and he was raised in Philadelphia . He began touring with a band in Philadelphia at the age of 16 and later relocated to Colorado . His music combines indie and folk and includes instruments such as guitar and mandolin . His most famous songs are "The Stable Song", "Big Black Car" and "Dandelion Wine".
He himself describes Leonard Cohen , Kelly Joe Phelps and Bruce Springsteen as formative influences.

"The Stable Song" was used in The Peanut Butter Falcon in 2019 . In the scene in question, Zac and Eleanor dance around the campfire.
