The Gretenberg (historically: Gräderberg ) is a 283 meter high mountain near Mömbris in the Spessart in the Bavarian district of Aschaffenburg .

geography

At the foot of the Gretenberg in the Kahltal are the districts of Niedersteinbach and Mensengesäß belonging to Mömbris , where state road 2305 runs directly below the mountain . The Gretenberg is bounded in the southeast by the Oberschurbach . In the north it is connected to the Steinküppel (329 m). Only the western slopes of the Gretenberg are forested. This spur is called the Kellersberg. There is the Buchborn and further to the southwest, above the state road 2305, the Gretenfeld. The two geotopes of two former quarries are also located there . Somewhat below the summit is the Mömbris alternative sports field.
