Lutz Moek (born May 13, 1932 in Berlin ; † February 28, 2009 ) was a German officer in the Bundeswehr, most recently in the rank of lieutenant general .

Life

Moek, who grew up on his parents' estate in Western Pomerania until 1945 , joined the Federal Border Guard (BGS) as an officer candidate in April 1952 after graduating from high school and was promoted to lieutenant in July 1955 . On July 1, 1956, he switched to the Bundeswehr and was an army officer in the armored force until 1964 .
