The Gridenkarköpfe (max. 3031 m above sea level ) are three mountain peaks in the north-western Schober group . They are located on the border between the East Tyrolean community of Kals am Großglockner and the Carinthian community of Heiligenblut am Großglockner . The Gridenkarkopf consists of the southern Gridenkarkopf ( 3031 m above sea level ), the middle Gridenkarkopf ( 3007 m above sea level ) and the northern Gridenkarkopf ( 3020 m above sea level ). Neighboring peaks are the Zinggetz in the north and the Böse Weibl in the south, with the Gridenkarkkopf being separated from the Böse Weibl by the Kesselkeessattel.
Promotion opportunities
The Gridenkar heads are of little tourist importance and are seldom used. Nevertheless, they are relatively easy to climb from the Kesselkeessattel. The ascent to the Kesselkeessattel can be reached from the Elberfelder Hütte to the east or from the Peischlachtörl to the northwest. Then the ascent to the southern Gridenkarkopf is easy but unmarked over the southern ridge to the highest of the Gridenkarkkopf. The transition to the Middle and Northern Gridenkarkopf is just as easy, although the short ridge between the Middle and the Northern Gridenkarkopf is a bit narrower, but still easy to walk. The ridge hike can also be extended to the northern mountain peaks of the Zinggetz and Tramerkamps.
