The Wuppertal fire brigade has immortalized a "fire brigade dragon" on the small guard in the Sonnborn district

Although never officially introduced as such, the figure of Grisu developed as a small, green dragon with a fire helmet in many places and especially at youth fire brigades into a mascot because of his constant desire to become a firefighter, where it adorns fire stations, clothing and accessories .
