The Great Oderberg in the Harz Mountains is 649.6 m above sea level. NN high mountain near Sankt Andreasberg in the district of Goslar in Lower Saxony .
The Große Oderberg is located in the Upper Harz in the Harz National Park about 2 km east-southeast of the Braunlager district of Sankt Andreasberg. Its eastern flank, over which the state road 519 (Sankt Andreasberg– Oderhaus ) leads roughly in a north-west-south-east direction , slopes down to the Oder and its west flank to the Breitenbeek with the Engelsburger ponds . To the south of the wooded mountain, also lying between the two rivers, is the Breitenberg ( 625.3 m ).
The Kleine Oderberg ( 685.1 m ) to the north is 35.5 m higher.
