It belongs to the Lennegebirge and is located in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature park south of Altenhellefeld , a district of Sundern and west of Grevenstein , a district of Meschede . The altitude of 575 m, which is often found in maps, refers to the south-east summit, which is in the Grevenstein district. The higher main peak is 940 m northwest of it in the area of Altenhellefeld. Between the two peaks there is a 540.3 m above sea level. NN high saddle with an unmanaged refuge.
