description
The large stone grave was located near the Ohrfeld estate . According to a report by Pastor Jensen, it was opened in 1833 and then completely demolished. It belonged to the type of giant beds and was oriented east-west. Inside the enclosure was a burial mound of unknown size with an elevation on the east side. Under this increase was the passage grave . The chamber had four capstones and an entrance to the south. According to Pastor Jensen, the chamber had an exceptional height at 6 feet (about 2.00 m). He describes the length and width of the room as being so large "that 10 men can lie around a burning fire in it." Ernst Sprockhoff lists the grave in his "Atlas of Germany's Megalithic Tombs" under number 23. According to a report from 1852 there was another large stone grave nearby, the exact location of which is unknown.
