The Teutonia mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Alt Refrath district . Due to a Mutungssgesuchs of 22 March 1856 was carried out ceremony of the mining area on 12 November 1856 called Teutonia on Eisenstein. The Teutonia mining field ran from Halbenmorgen via Beckershäuschen to Vürels . The point of discovery was in the area of the Mohnweg School. There are no longer any clear traces.
