Beckershäuschen is a district in the Refrath district of Bergisch Gladbach .

history

The settlement name Beckershäuschen was derived from the earlier field name Beckerskamp . This goes back to the middle of the 15th century. The name of the land was created by the ducal cook and baker Conrad Boecker, who received a plot of land in the "Steinkaule" from Duke Gerhard (Jülich-Berg) in 1450. After he settled here, the Beckershäuschen settlement developed .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 without a name and on the Prussian first survey from 1840 as a baker's house . From the Prussian new admission in 1892, it is regularly listed on measuring table sheets as Beckershäuschen or without a name.
