Kempershäuschen is a district in the Refrath district of Bergisch Gladbach .
history
The name Kempershäuschen emerged from the old tub designation Am Kempers Häuschen , which is recorded in the original cadastre in the area of today's street. The defining word Kemper / Kämper is probably derived from the job title Kämper . This is a shepherd on the cattle pasture . Accordingly, the Kämper's house was a shepherd's house. Kemper cannot be excluded as a subsidiary form of the field name Kempel / Kümpel or the related form Kump / Komp . In this case, the determiner would indicate the deepening of the creek bed or a cattle trough.
