Gojko Cimirot (born December 19, 1992 in Trebinje ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player . He plays in the Belgian first division at Standard Liège on the position of defensive midfielder .

societies

In his youth, Cimirot played with Leotar Trebinje , a club from his hometown. For the 2013/14 season he moved to FK Sarajevo for two years . After two years he moved to PAOK Thessaloniki in Greece .

In January 2018 he switched to the Belgian club Standard Liège .

National team

Cimirot played for the U21 selection of Bosnia-Herzegovina some friendly matches as well as qualifying matches for the U21 European Championship . In the A selection , he is not consistently part of the squad. He was on the pitch for part of the qualifying matches for the 2018 World Cup . The Bosnian-Herzegovinian national team did not participate in a World Cup due to a lack of qualifications.
