Aleksandar Boljević (born December 12, 1995 in Podgorica ) is a Montenegrin football player who will play for the Belgian first division Standard Liège from the 2019/20 season .

Career

society

In his youth he played in Montenegro for FK Zeta Golubovci . There he also played his first professional games.

In 2014, Boljević moved to the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven , initially for six months as part of a loan. The final club change took place at the beginning of the 2014/15 season. At Eindhoven, however, he was only once in the first team squad. Otherwise he played in the reserve team, which participates in the first division , the second highest Dutch league.

At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, he moved to the Belgian club Waasland-Beveren , which plays in the first division , the highest Belgian league, with a contract for initially two years .

At the beginning of the 2019/20 season, he switched to Standard Liège .

National team

In 2012 and 2013, Boljević played a number of friendly matches for the U19 national team . In the years that followed, in addition to other friendly matches, he also took part in qualifying matches for the U21 European Football Championship in 2015 and 2017 with the U21 national team. There was no qualification for the final round.

Since 2018, he has participated with the senior national team in the UEFA Nations League and in qualifying for the 2020 European Championship .
