Nicolas Gavory (born February 16, 1995 in Beauvais , France ) is a French football player . The left defender is currently under contract with Standard Liège .

Career

In his youth, Gavory first played at AS Beauvais Oise, later at CO Beauvais in his birthplace. In the youth of AJ Auxerre he played from the age of 13. After a year in the reserve team, in which he already played two games with the first team, Gavory also received his first professional contract there at the age of 18 in the 2013/14 season - that was the second season for Auxerre after relegation in the Ligue 2 .

After seven games at the beginning of the season, he was no longer included in the respective matchday squad. It wasn't until the penultimate game of the next 2014/15 season that he was on the field again. For the 2015/16 season Gavory moved to Avenir Sportif Béziers in the National (D3) , the third highest French division. There Gavory developed into a regular player.

After two years, he moved to Clermont Foot in Ligue 2 , the second highest division, for the 2017/18 season . There he was again a regular player.

For the next season, Gavory signed a contract with the Dutch club FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie for a period of three years.

After a year he moved on to Belgium to Standard Liège in Division 1A .

National team

For the French U-16 national team Gavory was in a friendly game on the field; also in two friendly matches for the U-17 national team . His last international match was on October 12, 2013 for the U-19 national team in a qualifying match for the U19 European Championship .
