Siebenmorgen is a district in the Refrath district of Bergisch Gladbach .
history
The name Siebenmorgen was based on an old name of the tub , which was recorded in the original cadastre from 1828 as Auf den Sechsmorgen south of Beningsfeld . The field name Sechsmorgen referred to the size of the available agricultural area. It probably gained a larger extent in the second half of the 19th century, which meant that the so-called six acres were no longer applicable and the area had to be changed to seven acres .
Today this is the center of Refrath, where shops are concentrated and events take place on the adjacent Peter-Bürling-Platz.
