Gruzdžiai
Gruzdžiai ( German Grudsen ) is a miestelis in Lithuania , in the Rajongemeinde Šiauliai , Šiauliai district , west of the trunk road 154 Šiauliai –Gruzdžiai– Naujoji Akmenė , 19 km north of Šiauliai. It is the center of the administrative district. In Gruzdžiai there is a post office (LT-81024), the Gruzdžiai grammar school. There has been a regional history museum since 1973. From 1897 to 1911 the Gruzdžiai Catholic Church was built according to a design by Karl Eduard Strandmann . In 1923 an agricultural school was built. It became an agricultural school and it became a technical college in Soviet Lithuania . Now there is a department of the Joniškis Agricultural School (Joniškio žemės ūkio mokykla).
