Gușterița ( German Hammersdorf , Hungarian Szenterzsébet ) is a village in Transylvania , Romania . Administratively, it is now turned my deterministic part of the Municipality, Sibiu ( Sibiu ).

location

The village is located in the northeast of Sibiu and is separated from the urban area by the Cibin ( Zibin ). The route of the A1 motorway runs past the village .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1309 as villa (h) umberti . Even in ancient times, however, there was a Roman settlement here called Cedonia , but little is known about it so far.

In the 1940s, Gușterița was attached to Sibiu.
