Reviews

“Actually everything could be very nice for 14 year old Janna, an afternoon at the fair and the prospect of long summer holidays. When she meets a boy of the same age at the lake, it is immediately clear that both are interested in each other. What begins as a harmless first approach for the viewer reveals itself as a dramatically failing attempt by Janna to experience her own 'first time', which she determined. The director hints at the girl's abuse story with subtle elements. In search of a normal way of dealing with natural, physical closeness, Janna catches up with her story again. The director excellently leads the two amateur actors, who convince in their roles. The key scene in the film is particularly impressive, in which the protagonist not only remains a victim, but also becomes the perpetrator herself. The director proves a confident handling of the subject both in terms of film and content. "
