Gudrun Holbe (born August 14, 1958 in Donndorf ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and has been a member of the Thuringian state parliament since 2004 .

Professional background

Holbe passed the Abitur in 1977 at what is now the Roßleben monastery school . She then studied at the Weimar University of Architecture and Construction , and since 1996 Bauhaus University Weimar . In 1981 she graduated as a civil engineer .

As a result, she worked from 1983 to 1988 as a construction manager in Artern and from 1988 to 1989 she was the head of the construction department in the Unstruttal municipal association . From 1993 to 1994 she completed further training to become an administrative specialist I / II. From 1994 to 2004 she was the office manager of a planning office.

In 1990 Holbe joined the Democratic Awakening , to which she belonged until 2002 (from 1998 to 2001 as district chairwoman in the Kyffhäuserkreis ). In 2002 she became a member of the CDU and in 2003 its district chairman in the Kyffhäuserkreis. She held this office until 2010, and has been deputy CDU district chairman since 2012.

From 1990 to 1994 she was the full-time mayor of the Donndorf community. She has held this position on a voluntary basis since 1994.

Gudrun Holbe has been a member of the Kyffhäuserkreis district council since 1994.

As a direct candidate for the CDU, Gudrun Holbe was elected to the Thuringian state parliament in 2004 in the Kyffhäuserkreis II constituency. She defended this mandate in the state elections in 2009 and 2014, but did not run again in 2019.

Holbe has been a board member of the Evangelical Working Group of the CDU Thuringia since 2015, and since 2014 she has held the position of Commissioner for Church Issues and Religious Policy of the CDU parliamentary group in the Thuringian state parliament.

Others

From 1994 to 2016 she worked as a member of the presidium in the Thuringian District Association. She has been a member of the Thuringia State Monument Advisory Board since 2004.

In her constituency, Gudrun Holbe has chaired the Donndorf Monastery Folk High School sponsoring association since 2013, and she is also a board member of the “Hohe Schrecke - Alter Wald mit Zukunft e. V. “Holbe is still a member of the White Ring e. V., in the Bockwindmühle e. V. Langenroda, in the Kyffhäuser Verkehrswacht Artern and in the VdK Hessen-Thuringia.
