Gudrun Kopp (born October 18, 1950 in Neuendorf Monastery ) is a German politician ( FDP ). From 2009 to 2013 she was Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development .

Life and work

Born in Altmark, Gudrun Kopp has lived in North Rhine-Westphalia since 1953. She first trained as an export saleswoman and then completed a university degree to become a state-certified interpreter and translator for English and Spanish . She then worked for an electrical company and a plastics processing company, and then freelance.

Gudrun Kopp lives in the town of Lage in the Lippe district . She is married and has two kids.

Political party

From 1993 to 1996 she was chairwoman of the FDP district association Lippe. From 1995 to 2011 she was chairwoman of the FDP district association Ostwestfalen-Lippe and has been a member of the state board of the FDP in North Rhine-Westphalia since 1996 .

MPs

From 1979 to 1994 Gudrun Kopp was a member of the City Council of Lage . Here she was among other things chairwoman of the finance committee and the FDP parliamentary group.

From 1994 to 2004 she was a member of the enlarged district parliamentary group.

From 1998 to 2013 she was a member of the German Bundestag . Until September 2009 she was the spokesperson for the FDP parliamentary group for energy policy and world trade. In September 2012, Gudrun Kopp announced that he would no longer run for the 18th German Bundestag and would devote himself to new tasks.

Gudrun Kopp always entered the Bundestag via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Public offices

From October 28, 2009 to December 17, 2013 Gudrun Kopp was Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dirk Niebel .
