Ghusman Qossanow
Ghusman Syittyquly Qossanow ( Kazakh Ғұсман Сыйттықұлы Қосанов , Russian Гусман Ситтыкович Косанов Gusman Sittykowitsch Kossanow , Eng. Transcription Gusman Kosanov * 25. May 1935 in Semipalatinsk ; † 19th July 1990 in Alma-Ata ) was a Kazakh sprinter , who for the Soviet Union started.
At the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, he reached the quarter-finals over 100 meters . In the 4 x 100 meter relay , he won the silver medal in 40.1 s behind the German relay with the Soviet team consisting of Kosanov, Leonid Bartenew , Yuri Konovalov and Edwin Osolin , which set a world record with 39.5 s put up.
In 1964 he was eliminated from the Olympic Games in Tokyo over 100 meters in the preliminary run and came in fifth place with the Soviet team in the 4 x 100 meter relay.
