Gustaf Diedrich Count Taube von Odenkat ( Swedish : Gustav Didrik Taube af Odenkat; born March 11, 1761 in Stockholm , † July 5, 1822 in Åsbergby , Sweden ) was a Swedish count and Rittmeister . He came from the German-Swedish-Baltic noble family of the " von Taube ".

Career

Gustaf Diedrich joined the Swedish King's mounted body regiment as a corporal in 1775 . From 1778 he was bodyguard ( Swedish : Livdrabant) at the Swedish court and in 1782 took his leave as Rittmeister . In 1801 was his proposal to continue the count title, agreed and he was in the Swedish Ridderhuset introduktiert .

His father was the Swedish court marshal Arvid Gustaf Count Taube von Odenkat (1729–1785). Gustaf Diedrich married Sofia Magdalena Möller (1770–1796) in their first marriage and in 1810 their second marriage to Anna Margareta von Strokirch (1786–1861).
