Arvid Gustaf Graf Taube von Odenkat (June 1729 - September 25, 1785 in Västerlövsta , Sweden ) was a Swedish count and court marshal at the Swedish royal court. He came from the German-Swedish-Baltic noble family of the von Taube .

Career

His steep career began on April 13, 1743 as a chamberlain , on September 18, 1746 he became chamberlain and then court marshal to King Frederick of Sweden . This was probably also due to the fact that his sister, the lady in waiting Hedvig Ulrike Taube, was the king's mistress .

His parents were the Swedish admiral Eberhard Diedrich Count Taube von Odenkat (1681–1751) and Elisabeth Maria Falkenberg auf Trystorp (1686–1710). His sister Hedwig Ulrike Dove Odenkat (1714-1744) was when the mistress of the Swedish King Frederick I in history. Since his older brother Diedrich Heinrich Graf Taube von Odenkat (1711–1781) had no male descendants, the line of succession of the count's house "Taube von Odenkat" passed to Arvid Gustaf. He married Countess Ulrika Eleonora Gyllenborg (1737-1808) in 1758 and had two sons and a daughter with her.

  • Eberhard Friedrich Taube von Odenkat (born August 4, 1759 in Stockholm; † January 3, 1797) was initially a page and bodyguard at the Swedish court. After his departure he worked as an adjunct at the Hovrätt in Åbo from 1785 . In 1790 he was a councilor at the Åbo court and from 1794 to 1795 he was a regional judge at the Supreme Court. He was unmarried and died on January 3, 1797 in Åbo, his brother took over the count's inheritance.
