Gustav Adolf origin
Gustav Adolf Ursprung (born September 11, 1865 in Ueken ; † June 8, 1923 in Basel ) was a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( FDP ). From 1911 to 1919 he represented the canton of Aargau in the National Council . His older brother Albert Ursprung was also a member of the National Council.
biography
After finishing school in Frick , Ursprung did a commercial apprenticeship from 1881 to 1884. This was followed by language stays in French-speaking Switzerland and Sanremo, as well as an internship at a bank in Lausanne . After working for the Basler Depositenbank, he took over the management of his father-in-law's iron trade in Laufenburg in 1897 . He was co-owner of a freight forwarding company until 1920, and was also a member of the board of directors of various local banks and the Aargau electricity company . He was also one of the founders of the Neue Aargauer Zeitung.
1903 origin was in the Laufenburger City Council voted, he from 1904 to 1917 as a part-time Stadtammann board. From 1909 to 1921 he was a member of the Aargau Grand Council . In the parliamentary elections in 1911 , he was elected to the National Council in the Aargau-Nord constituency, to which he was a member until 1919.
