Gustav Adolf von Liebenstein

Friedrich Franz Carl Gustav Adolf (also Adolph ) Freiherr von Liebenstein (born February 17, 1853 in Rieden near Bregenz , † October 20, 1913 ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

After attending grammar school in Heilbronn , Gustav Adolf von Liebenstein studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin and the University of Strasbourg . In 1872 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After completing his studies, he entered the administrative service of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . In 1882 he became a government assessor at the district and police headquarters in Mulhouse . From 1888 to 1893 he was district director of the Saarburg district . In 1896 he became police chief in Metz . In 1910 he was a secret councilor in Strasbourg . Most recently until his death in 1913 he lived in Florence .
