Gustav Adolf von Nostitz-Wallwitz

Gustav Adolf von Nostitz-Wallwitz (born July 11, 1898 in Oschatz , † May 31, 1945 in Rögen ) was a German major general in World War II . Nostitz-Wallwitz was awarded the German Cross in Gold as Lieutenant Colonel of Artillery Regiment 1 on December 1, 1941 and, as Colonel and Commander of the Armored Artillery Regiment 89, with the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on June 12, 1944 . He also commanded the 24th Panzer Division during the war .
