Gustav August von Aichelburg

Gustav August Freiherr von Aichelburg (born August 28, 1813 at Gut Greifenstein in Carinthia , † March 5, 1882 in Klagenfurt ) was a German politician.

His father was the landowner Joseph Lorenz Freiherr von Aichelburg.

Live and act

Gustav August from Aichelburg studied in Vienna jurisprudence . In 1839 he completed his studies with a doctorate. He then began a career in administration. Initially, he was a temporary assistant at the Chamber Procurator in Laibach . In 1856 he became a regional government design engineer in Klagenfurt and shortly thereafter rose to the position of governor's secretary in Klagenfurt. In 1866 there was finally a governor's council in Klagenfurt. From 1856 to 1859 he was also a consultant for the basic relief fund management in Klagenfurt.

In the Frankfurt National Assembly he represented the constituency of Carinthia 4 and was a member of parliament from September 1, 1848 to April 30, 1849 as the successor to Andreas von Buzzi .

He voted against the election of King Friedrich Wilhelm IV as German Emperor.

From 1861 to 1866 he was a member of the state parliament of Carinthia.
