Gustav Behrendt

Gustav Karl Behrendt (* 1858 or 1859 in Wanzleben , † April 19, 1912 in Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer . Most recently he was President of the Railway Directorate in Berlin.

Life

Behrendt studied law at the Friedrichs University in Halle . In 1877 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Halle with Heinrich Robolski , in which he proved himself as consenior . In 1881 he became a trainee lawyer in the higher regional court district of Naumburg , and in 1886 a court assessor. After working at the Wanzleben District Court , he was first given leave of absence from the Foreign Office before transferring to the State Railway Administration in 1891 . Behrendt was an unskilled worker at the railway directorate in Cologne and from 1892 at the railway operations office ( city and ring railway ) in Berlin. In the course of the reorganization of the railway authorities on April 1, 1895, he became a councilor and member of the railway administration in Berlin, in June 1898 a secret councilor and lecturer at the Reich Railway Authority. In June 1903 he was entrusted with the management of the business as a senior government councilor at the railway administration in Berlin and on October 1, 1904 he was appointed president of the railway administration. In September 1910 he moved to the Ministry of Public Works as Ministerial Director.

Behrendt died as a real. Go Upper government councilor in the Bethanien hospital in Berlin after an operation.
