Gustav Bergmann (politician)

Gustav Bergmann (born November 13, 1890 in Sternberg , † July 23, 1973 in Aurich ) was a German lawyer and politician ( LDP ).

biography

Gustav Bergmann, son of the city secretary of the same name von Sternberg in Mecklenburg-Schwerin , graduated from the Schwerin grammar school and then studied law in Tübingen , Leipzig and Rostock . During his studies in 1912 he became a member of the Tübingen fraternity Derendingia . After the second state examination, he worked as an assistant judge in Mecklenburg . From 1925 to 1933 he was mayor of Schwaan before he was deposed by the National Socialists. Bergmann remained active as a lawyer and notary. From 1946 to 1952 he was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (or Mecklenburg) state parliament in Schwerin . After being summoned to the GDR Ministry of Justice , he fled to the Federal Republic of Germany in April 1959. Bergmann last lived in Aurich.
