Gustav Heinrich von Enckevort

Gustav Heinrich von Enckevort (born October 16, 1726 in Vogelsang , † November 18, 1807 in Hohenziethen ) was a Prussian legal counsel, from 1763 to 1767 Vice President of the Pomeranian government .

He was a member of the noble family von Enckevort . His father Bernd Friedrich von Enckevort (* 1684; † 1755) was the heir to Vogelsang and a Swedish captain, later he was court and consistorial councilor. His mother Helena Elisabeth was born by Meyer.

From 1745 he studied law at the University of Greifswald . In 1748 he began as a trainee lawyer with the Pomeranian government in Stettin . Here he became a member of the government in 1753 and finally, in 1763, as the successor to Christian Friedrich von Ramin, he was vice-president. In 1767 he took his leave; Johann Arnold von Wyckersloot succeeded him in office in 1769 .

Gustav Heinrich von Enckevort married Anna Sophia Kretzschmer (* 1734; † 1787), the rich daughter of an elderly man from Szczecin, in 1751. The fortune that his wife brought with him enabled him to acquire extensive property: in 1751 he bought the Dobberphul alloidal property from Joachim Ewald von Massow in the Pomeranian district of Pyritz, 1755 Gartz ad Plönen , Plönzig and Rosenfelde also in the Pyritz district, 1765/1766 Hohenziethen , Marienwerder and Dertzow in the Soldin district of New Mark, at the end of the 18th century Wuthenow in the Friedeberg region of New Mark and Kürtow in the Arnswalde region of New Mark, 1805 Petershagen in the Central Mark region of Lebus.

The marriage produced five sons and eight daughters. The daughter Dorothea Friederike Charlotte (* 1755, † 1816) married in 1782 the Minden district president Karl Ludolf Bernhard von Arnim . The daughter Ernestine (* 1769, † 1798) married Georg Friedrich von Eickstedt, the district president of Szczecin, in 1785 .
