Gustav Jacob Adt (* July 1, 1860 in Ensheim , † August 19, 1922 in Arnstein ) was a German manufacturer ( paper mache dynasty Adt ) and member of the state parliament.

Gustav Jacob Adts parents were the manufacturer Johann-Baptist Adt (* May 16, 1825 in Ensheim; † February 15, 1913) and his wife Maria Schwarz (* October 13, 1833). He attended the Lyceum and the Realgymnasium in Trier and studied chemistry in Strasbourg , Trier, Zurich and Munich , became a reserve officer in 1884 and joined his father's company in 1885. In 1902 he became general director of the "Adt Brothers" company. In 1914 the company employed 3,300 workers.

In 1908 he became a member of the Metz Chamber of Commerce . From 1912 he was on the board of the Central Association of German Industry , where he represented Saarland and Lorraine , as well as chairman of the association for the protection of the common interests of the East Lorraine industry .

In 1886 he was one of the founders of Bank von Forbach, along with his father and eight other people .

Since 1888 he was a member of the regional committee of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . In 1904 he was appointed to the Commerce Council. From 1911 he was a member of the first chamber of the Landtag of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine .

He was married to a Countess von Zeppelin-Aschhausen and had four children.

After the First World War was lost, the German Adts were expropriated and expelled from the country. All companies fell to the state.
