Gustav Krojer (born June 30, 1885 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ; † January 1945 there ) was an Austrian football player and athlete . He played twice in the national soccer team in 1911 and took part in several disciplines at the 1906 and 1912 Olympic Games .
Club career
Krojer started playing soccer in Brigittenau near Union Zwischenbrücken before moving to Vorwärts in 1901 at the age of 16 . The club was initially absorbed by the Vienna Sports Association , with which the tall defender won the Challenge Cup in 1905 with a 2-1 win against Magyar AC Budapest . In 1907 another club merger took place, as a result of which the Wiener Sport-Club was created.
For the Dornbachers, Krojer played in a team with Wilhelm Schmieger and Arthur Wackenreuther . In 1909, the sports club also reached the final of the Challenge Cup, where they lost to the Ferencvárosi TC with 1: 2. In 1911 there was the same encounter in the final and this time the Viennese were successful 3-0. After taking second place with the sports club in 1912 in the championship, which was held for the first time, Krojer ended his football career in 1913, but was still active in the old men’s team until 1923 and worked as a department head at the Vienna gas works.
National team
In 1911 he came to two missions in the national team. The Hungarians were the opponents in both games , with one win and one defeat and Krojer's partner in defense was Felix Tekusch .

In addition to his football career, Krojer was also a successful athlete who achieved around 40 Austrian championship titles in short-distance running , long jump , high jump and javelin throw and was also the record holder in the last two disciplines.
