Gustav Röseler

Gustav Röseler (born January 25, 1880 in Grimmen ; † after 1948) was a German engineer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Gustav Röseler trained as a fitter and machine fitter after attending primary school. After several years of practical experience, he acquired the secondary school leaving certificate at a technical college. He worked as a designer and production engineer. After graduating from high school, he graduated from the Technical University of Charlottenburg as a graduate engineer. He then worked as a senior engineer and company manager in the Rhineland . In 1927 he started his own business as a consulting engineer and expert for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry . In addition, he worked from 1939 to 1945 at the Cologne-Berg vocational school as a senior commercial teacher. After being bombed out several times in Cologne , he lived in Grimmen from the beginning of 1945.

Before the time of National Socialism , Röseler belonged to the Free People's Party . 1945 to 1949 he was chairman of the CDU in the city and the district of Grimmen (from 1950 Hermann Freimuth). From October 1946 he was a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament . In 1948, Röseler took over the management of the Grimmen brickworks as the people's first shop steward, which from 1946 traded as "VEB Ziegel-Tonwerk Grimmen". After Werner Jöhren fled to West Berlin , he became parliamentary group leader of his party in December 1948.
